Help Find Faster Cures Safely

This campaign is to benefit myself, my family, and you and your family.  Your funds will defray ongoing hosting, software and family expenses.  We need your immediate support as our personal well has run dry. Your support will fulfill long held dreams of authentically living a life of service to others in the establishment of systems to find cures.  I will be forever grateful to each and every one of you that supports us with any amount of your hard earned money or other sharing.

Bob Stewart, husband to Alison, father, step-father, grandfather, and parallel entrepreneur.  Member of the Board of Directors and Pro Bono Chief Technology Officer at the Alliance for Clinical Research Excellence and Safety

A humble lift…

My hope is that you do not take personal offence to my use of religious dogma nor my unintentionally pejorative use of gender specific pronouns, rather see me for the uniquely valuable, and admittedly privileged, person I am, just making my way, as best I know how, and learning from a myriad of successes which are never final, and failures which are never fatal.

“Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up.” – James 4:10

It’s a humbling experience to ask for help, yet that is the lesson God has for me at this stage of my development as a man.  Conservatively raised, asking others for any kind of financial assistance was long ingrained in me as somehow ‘bad’ or at the very least ‘un-man-ly’ and that “Good people don’t do that, they don’t make excuses, they pull themselves up by their bootstraps and soldier on…”.

So that’s exactly what I’ve done for my entire life, and of late it hasn’t seemed to go so well nor as planned.  Yet the eternal optimism I sometimes feel I’m seemingly cursed with has now met it’s proverbial match, and that has me on my knees asking God (and in turn you) for help.

“Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. – For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.” – Jesus in Matthew 7:7-8

“Ask and it will be given to you…”

Asked for the love and blessings of a big family…

Received a loving relationship with our Heavenly Father and my wife of 14 years Alison, all of our combined nine children, Keeper, Cherish, Belle, Paisley, Taylor, Paige, Justice, Robert Jr, and Maxwell.  And now all of our grand children, Isaiah, Maddox, Eowyn. Not to mention our friends and extended family of parents (all still alive) and siblings, Christopher, Jennifer, Jill, Rachael and Alexander “Sandy” (deceased).

“Seek and you will find…”

I sought a path to find an actual cure for cancer, a gift laid upon my heart at the age of twelve when Sandy died, soon after a long fought civil war with cancer at the tender age of nine.

I found technology later that very same year in a seventh grade classroom line printer terminal, a love of all things digital that began with programming in 1978 in Kennebunkport’s Consolidated School in Maine.  Computers were something I could control, and indeed master.

“Knock and the door will be opened to you.”

I knocked over every obstacle to build a career path using technology for the past forty years, I’m now 54 and find myself, even here and now, envisioning and creating computing platforms to deliver on the promise to use my talents to find those cures and spare others in this life from the pain of avoidable losses.

I opened my mind and my network of professional contacts past and present, I embarked on a journey to fully realize the potentials by creating a system for the legal integration of both genetic and historic medical records to facilitate a future where artificial intelligence can safely and ethically accelerate the finding, creation, and delivery of cures using precision functionally restorative medical therapies.

Faith and Fiery Darts

“In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.” – Ephesians 6:16

The monies being raised here are going to be used to tend to the vines of the garden of life and ensure that good fruits become of all that we are and the talents which have been given.

I humbly ask you to carefully consider supporting me and my family on this journey. We are extraordinarily blessed to have received the support of so many in these endeavors already, but now realize that the very system in which we have begun to build these solutions, is itself, corrupt to the core, in its love of money above all else.

“For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil.” – 1 Timothy 6:10

I founded
Exochain.com as a Public Benefit Corporation, which holds both the exclusive contracts and intellectual property including key blockchain solutions necessary to deliver patient and market solutions.  However, Exochain, as a nascent startup, is still, awaiting further investment, on terms favorable for preventing any possibility of experiencing a loss-of-control for the many reasons which I will endeavor to explain further below in detail.  This is why I’m asking for your careful consideration, as there remains much work to be done.

While I welcome you to learn more about this company (and indeed perhaps invest it it too), I feel it’s important to clearly differentiate Exochain’s efforts from the reason I am establishing and promoting this ‘gofundme’ campaign.  The system is clearly at odds with itself.

THE PROBLEM:

While capitalism has it’s strengths, in the area of medical research, demonstrable conflicts of interest are intrinsic to the obligations of fiduciary responsibility of a for-profit entity.  Which, by it’s very nature and design, is almost exclusively geared toward returning value (money) to already wealthy accredited shareholders.

In the case of serving all of mankind, globally, without regard to artificial and inhibiting constructs such as race, color, creed, sex, ancestry, religion, nor historical animus causing cultural separations, including borders and nationalism. The mission to find cures for all peoples, most especially the vulnerable subjects comprising the underclass, is in conflict with the broken system which demand drug profitsfrom customers that in many cases can’t even afford food.

Worse yet, the drug industry directly and indirectly kills hundreds of thousands of patients each year and is immune to most of the liability under the guise of informed consent.

The drug development process on average takes upwards of five years in research, ten years in trials, leaving a short five years to earn back the profits before the patents expire and the drug becomes generic.

Therefore, any generically available drug is by nature 20-25 years behind the state-of-the-art in medical research, which, given the exponential pace of mankind’s technologically driven life-sciences learnings, is easily over 100 man-years behind what is actually possible today!

This is such a broken system, made worse yet by privileged access and falling further behind every day due to the fact that the paths of automation of the drug industry today is automaing a broken system to break things faster – only widening the gap between the have and have nots the sick and the well, the rich and the poor.

Now, compound this with quarterly earnings pressures and a litigious society, it is no wonder they only want long term customers not cures.

Lastly, over 90% of all trials target peoples of Northern European descent, people of color, Asians, Africans, Hispanics, Middle Eastern and others are quite literally oft left out until mandated for inclusion in later stages of clinical trials.

With nearly every pharmaceutical company competing for the same patient populations from the same race of people within the same geographic base, it should come as no surprise that an underbelly of opportunists disguised as patient recruiters now collect bounties from research sponsors to find increasingly scarce resources called patients.

What makes matters worse is the fact that less than 20% of all data collected is collected by what by any measure would be a good performing clinical trial site. That right, over 80% of all clinical trial sites are considered poor performing and their data is unusable due to failures of both management and data collection practices mandated by regulatory compliance for inclusion in final results.

Lastly remember that it is all far worse than that as due to the strict adherence of conducting trial with a double blind, literally only half of all participants actually receive the drug, the rest get sugar pills known as placebos.

THE REACTION:

This will require a new way of thinking, a grass-roots demand from those seemingly least able to effect the same, the poor.

This is why I both personally and professionally, funded the initial development of the first ever Quality Continuum Standard for the Quality Management of Clinical Research Sites: ACRES-QC S001 .

Endorsed by the New England Journal of Medicine , this new standard is the life-science’s equivalent of the types of standards that fundamentally transformed the safety record of the entire global airline industry with mandatory reporting of all discovered flaws in aircraft making flight the safest form of travel possible.

THE SOLUTION:

Envision with me a future where the state-of-the-art in life-sciences is at parity with the state-of-the-art in healthcare. To do this one must obsolete the entrenched delivery systems as they can not change the fabric of greed which it they are supported by and wrapped up in.

Before blockchain, Bob created CyberMedica , an immutable-data, open-source solution for safely accelerating life-science research.

Rich or poor, there is intrinsic value contained inside every being in the form of the wealth of information including ones personal DNA and their ancestral genetic (genotypical ) information.  Which, when indexed with ones (phenotypical ) expression data such as skin, hair and eye color and ones ever changing biometric data weight, height, and ongoing sentiment data (how they’re feeling) combine to create an incredible opportunity for both the researcher working on the future of precision medicine, and, the patient population seeking solutions for themselves, their children, and their grandchildren and beyond.

Looking ahead, artificial intelligence is likely the natural evolution of mankind’s analytical capabilities and therefore likely to become the mechanism capable of understanding the 10 to the 80th power complexity that is human DNA multiplied by the nearly 8 billion unique beings inhabiting our planet.

Our mission is to create fundamental and foundational systemic infrastructures necessary to facilitate science in such a world where disease and it’s trauma can be a thing of the past.  A convergence of technologies that enforce the truth as it is then known, such as blockchain, are needed to advance sciences under a new paradigm of good merit for the benefit of all, even the least of us, rather than just the few, at our current collective expense.

Here’s a five minute PBS video on us that sums it all up rather nicely. The ask…

You knew it was coming
“If you want to be perfect, go, sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.” – Jesus in Matthew 19:21 – I have, and so

Please help us financially so that I may continue to use my talents to make the world a better place for those who need it the most.  Because these are some of the poorest among us, I simply can’t do this by myself using traditional capitalistic means.  I’ve tried, and the short-sighted need for greed wins out, it jeopardizes long term progress.  So I’m here humbly asking you to support me and all that I have to offer to the tune of $161,803.39 (a “divine proportion” and just enough to make this all work), in return, I promise to work very hard, live modestly, and spend wisely and keep you posted along the way. We Yankees know how to make a little go a long way.

Together,

P.S. Every bit helps, even $5, $15 or $25 will be put to great use.  If you already have helped me, or financial support is not an option now, I will be eternally grateful to those who believe enough in ensuring that the future of precision medicine be made available to all by your sharing this campaign with your social networks right now!
